Biography

His father and grandfather were both semi-pro cyclists, so Florencio got the bug early. His first race was as a 4-year-old and he won the Spanish junior championship less than a decade later. A knee injury in 2006 almost short-circuited his career, but he bounced back to claim his biggest win in the Clásica San Sebastián later that summer.
